Simpler Defaults

I made some changes to Simpler, saved it as my default, and all is recalled when I load just a Simpler. When I load a sample into the Drum Rack it loads into a Simpler but does not have the saved characteristics of my newly saved default of Simpler. Am I missing something or does anyone know if this can be fixed somehow. Thanks!

There is a folder or two in regards to this that I am forgetting the names. But I may also be thinking of something else where you have it set up the way you want and drag this into that folder so that when you load up a Drum Rack for instance it is set like this. I believe a) it to be in the manual, and b) I apologize for forgetting what it is called/where it goes. The latter depends on your OS/Version. But it can be done for Simpler as well as Sampler (I think), not sure about Impulse, but Simpler for sure can do this once you set it the way you want and drag it to this directory. I think it sits under \path\to\ableton\defaults. Hope that helps.

as you found out, the simpler in drumrack is not referencing the default...lots of workarounds as well as going into the internal default of the drumrack simpler....i would just drag several instances of your default simpler into a drumrack and save that as your default drumrack, if that is the way you want to work with drumracks.....
