d-16 LuSH-101 is out !!!

Very cool synth...!
I was beta-tester and was surprised by the way
you can create and modulate sounds with LuSh-101.

Don't believe me right away...
There is a demo, so you can test it your self!

Sorry, too much hype for this synth...I've just demoed it for a couple of hours today and it doesen't impress me like Diva, Imposcar or PolyKB....

Mmmmyeah I'm afraid I have to agree.
It doesn't "click" with me as much as Diva did for example. It didn't impress me as much although the filter and envelopes are really nice.
The distortion effect is really good, but D16 are known for that so that wasn't so surprising.
Maybe I should give it some more time, but with the demo giving an annoying window several times and stopping after 15 minutes so I had to reload it 3 times to play with it, I didn't feel much for opening it a 4th time.
Why do they always make demo's so annoying??? I like Diva's demo policy - just a little crackle noise now and then but you can at least try everything on your own time.

Also, didn't find a way to let Lush react to my program changes I was sending in clips?

The demo policy of D16 is only for the preset playing I think, because I can't create a very complex preset (whit all the Layers) in less that one hour...

I think that the Lush isn't comparable to diva because is a really difference sound, but I think that the Image can easily compete whit it (except for the really well built ENV, I have to admit it).

I repeat, too much hype and aspectation for this well built plugins, but nothing make me think that this can become:

Tried it. Nice 101 filter but nothing special if you ask me.

Demo limitation is very annoying. Pop-up box every minute or two. On top of a 15 minute limitation and no saving. Total overkill.

Gui is impossible to read. Why giant keys and small text?

Parameters not directly automatable. I assume there is some settings to enable them.

CPU is quite heavy but the sound doesn't justify it.

Not really a fan of the 8 synths in one either. But some might like it. I'd much rather have different synths on different tracks. Plug-ins are multi-timbral by nature, you can load as many as you want. I don't see how putting several of them in one instance adds any benefit.

So pass on this one.

Anyone found a way yet? Can't believe that this wouldn't be possible...

Overpriced and unfinished...

DIVA demo lasted 3 moths with no limitations, it cost 179 USD and gives 4 modeled synths.

GUI is nice to see and a PITA to work on.

FAIL!

i demo'd this and the first thing i did (as you do) is reach for the cut off slider. When i did i was disappointed. I could hear stepping on rapid movements, even without resonance.
This is on top of the weedy sound to begin with.
I personally wasn't impressed and was expecting a much bigger sound from d16. Dunno why.
ctrl + left/right = select transient

ctrl + shift + left/right = select between transients

ctrl + space = play selection

The resonance and the envelope sound really good. Like the real thing.

But I'm steering off this because of the GUI. It´s a fucking pita to program patches on it. The parameters are scattered all over, with ultra small lettering. Why does nearly all soft synths have to look like the hardware its trying to imitate?

I would consider getting this haven't it been because of this. As it was mentioned earlier, the ergonomics of this synth is a big fail.

Read this: http://www.d16.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=2342

I've tried to tune all instruments resonances to sounds the same (of course 101, juno 60 and DSI filters should sound different).
For me, LUSH is most closest instrument to hardware.

I had a Juno 2 and I think Diva does that sound really well. Imo Diva is the best softsynth on the market.

I've got so many amazing software synths already...
only way I'm getting any new ones is if they're good and free...
or are very good+are also under 100$...

doesn't fall in those categories,,,

Yeah, whats up with that?
And also I agree, the big keys and small labels suck.
And also, yes the filter steps when using a mouse. Maybe there is a draft/HQ switch like with Synthmaster.

Needs a lot of work. Sounds pretty cool though. Not necessary but neat.
