Suite Download vs. Box - Live 8 vs 9

I'm a little confused. On the "Shop" page, it says the downloadable version of Suite 8 includes 3GB of sounds and the boxed version includes 40GB of sound.

On the feature comparison page of Live 9 it says the downloadable version comes with "The same included sounds as the boxed version available for download from Your Packs."


Is there a difference between boxed and downloadable versions of Suite from ver. 8 to ver. 9?

+1 , I'd like to be clear on this aswell - am ready to pull the trigger on the Lite 8 -> Suite 8 download option, *if* this will give me the full 50GB content with 9 - otherwise will do boxed upgrade from a store.

I asked the same question and got an email response from Ableton I posted here.

There's no difference in content between the download and box version anymore with Live 9.
