a quick question when making mixes

when i make a j mix in ableton, the bass of the songs that i import seems to be incredibly fluttery and muddy, is there anyway i can deal with this?

Change the warp mode from beats to complex or complex pro. What you're experiencing are graining artifacts, which are produced when you change the tempo from the natural tempo or the pitch from the natural pitch.
