Let me decode that topic title before I forget what I mean myself

I have a liveset with which I perform. This liveset contains stems from my album tracks, and also inputs from my mic, synths and maschine. I have the mix of these elements pretty much balanced out, but ofcourse the mastering I applied on my releases is lacking here. It comes down to the sound engineer/FOH mixer of the night to perform this mastering task live, which doesn't always work out too well.
So this is what I want to do: I want to have an EQ, multiband compressor and limiter on my master channel (I might use the ableton FX, otherwise I have some good VSTs). The settings of these plugins should be editable for every scene in my set (for one song I might need a totally different setting for the EQ than for the next for example).
One way to do this is with Liine's Kapture. But because of the size of my liveset, Kapture doesn't seem to play nice. A lot of crashes.
Is there any other way to do this? For example to send out a midi note on the start of a scene, which signals which preset the VSTs should load?
The only other solution I can think of is to CC-map all the controls of these plugins, and use an IAC bus to automate these controls. But that will be a disaster to program in. A preset system would be better.
