TouchAble 1.3.4 update - IOS6 compatibility and future

We just released the promised service update for touchAble.
It should be appearing on your local app stores over the coming few hours.

We have not added any new features in this build, but rather made the current set of features rock stable!

You won't need to install new Server & Scripts, just update touchAble from the app store!

In case some of you have been wondering if we are still supportin
g touchAble, whether we are releasing new versions & features, and if we will support Live 9..
the short answer is: YES!

the long answer is that we have spent the past year mostly writing our own graphics engine and a completely new server, to ensure that the coming features will run equally smooth on all generations of devices.

We have used these new tools to build touchAble for iPhone & iPod Touch, which will be released around christmas this year.
And also: which to most of you is probably more important:
We have used them to rebuilt touchAble from the ground up. We are aiming to release the iPad version of the 'new' touchAble during the first quarter of 2013. And yes, it will include new features and support Live 9, and yes again - it will be a free update!

Is that a polite way of saying “we’ll wait until there’s any demand for it beyond the 10 potential users that hate Apple”?

I wish the best for Microsoft with Surface but I think the tables have turned again in favor of Apple. It’s going to mirror “Why develop software/viruses for less than 10% of the market?”

Microsoft is a ways off from toppling iOS and Android and I think they’ve stagnated long enough to where they can’t depend on long time loyalty anymore….a good percentage of loyalty tied to the attractive cheaper alternative. They certainly aren’t offering the cheaper alternative when it comes to tablets.

Well the problem is that apple isnot making it easier to use the ipad for music aplications, just the lack of a USB port is annoying, then the restrictions on transfering files, the updates that mess with apps, etc.

So I think apple demonstrated that tablets are very powerfull when well executed and other have come to take that even further while apple stick to their restrictions.

Also I wasn't considered using a tablet, but a bigger monitor with multi touch functions between my keyboard and the main monitor.

Anyway Apple is quiting the pro market as we speak, it is totally focused on iOS.

my company, just today... decided to buy a Dell tablet... why? because it has a USB port and can be joined to a domain. there's no "app for that".

I,m using Touchable 1.3.5 with Live Beta 9 , everything run smooth but the native EQ 8 isn,t working.It will be this native device updated for Live 9? .I,ve never had a problem with touchable, so maybe it,s better to post these questions on Touchable forum,

Of course it doesn't work, eq8 in Beta 9 is totally rebuild....you still can use fx8 and 16 views though.

Don't worry, we'll include all the changes needed.

What's up with the update progress? Been 5 months live 9 is out now. Any word on how soon the next update will be released?
