help?

hi there

im haveing a problem with my controlers,
i have an akai mpc40 and an mpk25, both use USB to connect to the pc but i can only get one to work at a time.
both are recognised in midi options some times the mpk25 will work but only half the keyboard???
please help

Are they each plugged into a separate USB port on your computer or are they sharing one port via a hub?
If your using a hub, make sure you have mains power to it.

What about MIDI channels as well? Each set to different ones maybe? Not a MIDI guru by any stretch but first thought that came to mind and agree with danpage100 in looking at where they are coming into the PC and it they are also being powered themselves via wall-wart to the controllers? That may be part of it as well.
