Consolidate/export individual track wavs

Post by evernaut » Fri Nov 30, 2012 12:24 am

Been forced into Protools land for a while now in order to play nice with other studios, but I still love to edit in Live so I've been using them in tandem. Now, in PT you can consolidate and export the raw wav files of individual tracks pre-faders, plugins, etc..just the PCM data - can I do the same in Live 8, or does consolidating & exporting change it in any way?
Basically, will I get out exactly what I put in - barring, obviously, the editing work I've done? ( And assuming I'm not warping/normalising anything)

Have to mix the final thing in PT unfortunately

I know this is a bit dull, but I really need to know & reading similar threads has left me more confused than ever. So does Export just do exactly that - export the wav with just the edit data and nothing else?

Here's one of the songs btw...

As far as I know, there's no way to export the stems without the effects applied via Ableton's export. A pretty easy way around this would be to make it habbit of putting all of your effects on each track in an audio rack. Then map the on/off of all of the audio racks to a midi button. Then one hit of the midi button and you can turn off all of the effects before you export all of the tracks.
