Google 'Gauss Control'. he's been playing live with Reason (on his desktop no less) for a couple of years now.

for a while I was using reason rewired to Live for synths in a live setup. I play with a desktop onstage with a dual monitor system so that I could have Live on one screen and Reason on another. I would load new Reason files in between songs. Since I had 4 midi controllers onstage that needed to access reason, I had to set up 4 midi tracks in Live, sent to 4 seperate slots in Reason. All of the reason files had to be setup with the 4 synths that needed to be controlled as the first 4 slots in the Reason rack. I would then add any mixers/effects after the synths. For extra control I added a seperate Reason mixer for each synth, and then output each mixer to a different set of rewire outs. Using 4 audio tracks in Live I could then control the levels of each reason output [and control individual effects] using remote controls. It worked well, but i found that loading reason files would sometimes glitch out the audio output. I would have a loop going in Live, and the audio would click and pop occasionally while Reason files loaded.

On stage I rewire reason to live
I love to use the NN_XT sampler and have a lot of samples loaded
on different keyzones which i constantly play and trigger with a remote 25
On the incoming reason rewire channels in Live i have a few effects running which i also control with the controller the remote.
This way i am very flexabel. Somertimes live is the master and sometimes reason takes over.

Woa, you are a bunch of really courageous men!!!
I wouldn't dare running Reason live!
Turn up the radio. Turn up the tape machine. Look into the sunset up ahead. Roll the windows down for a better taste of the cool desert wind. Ah yes. This is what it's all about. Total control now.

Say what you like about reason, but at least it's very fast and stable. I don't see any problems using it on stage; I just would rather use live's sequencer. ;)

I use reason live, running literally hundreds of loops. Never had a problem...

with Live, and Max.

I developed a fast paced method of muting and soloing tracks with a custom setup, which I call "superconducting" ...offers a lot of flexibility in live composition, and production. Im a fanatic about improvisation, and keeping shows different all the time...so it works really well for me.

The problem with running reason right now, is that the new version is buggy as hell. I am pissed that they even released it in the condition its in.
Once the bugs are fixed, its gonna be REALLY badass

Its pretty buggy, if you're updating from 2.5. There are still some bugs, check the website.

So, do you recommend sticking to 2.5?
