Dragging Clips from Session to Session.

Post by kringe » Thu Jan 03, 2013 6:02 am

Hi, I am trying to drag some midi clips from a session into another session. The clips contain about 11 lanes of automation. When I unfold the clips from the browser on the left and drag them into the new session, there is only one lane of automation that transfers over. I even tried "exposing" all the automation lanes in the original session and resaving the clips. Still only one lane of automation makes it over to the new session. The automation is controlling filters and envelopes on my Access Virus TI.

Any ideas?

Thanks, MC

when importing clips, there probably may be loss in the automations that are used by instrument plugin, when You drag them into the empty track (i.e. without needed instruments and effects)

I'd rather suggest importing whole track from the source session. The only disadvantage with it is (AFAIR) that send automations will be working with the return tracks that actually have another effects in chain (or no effects at all).
