Which one do you prefer: written tutorial with some graphics/pictures or video tutorials?

I LIKE TUTORIALS YES PLEASE

Er, videos but typically if someone is talking. Reading on the monitor is boring.

How about when the person is showing you all the steps but too quickly,
and there is no voice or any explanation??

Some tend to post such tutorials as well, but my preference is with classic video with voice tutorials.

Hm, I suppose that could be frustrating....that'd be a good time to out youtubes half speed feature to use :D

I think slower ones are more annoying though, someone talks too slow or has a lot of pauses.........it makes me want to keep clicking a little bit forward in time instead!

Oh and then there's mouth noises, there's one who has it all the time, and you can hear lips closing and the tongue mving around....not pleasant.

Yeah, there are many facets of video tutorials, some people have weird accent..Not like Scottish, or US - no that's great, but for instance Indian people..Or when they use very bad recording methods or there's bad recording and one cannot see a thing..
In that case even written tutorial might be better..

I like accents, even if it's hard to understand, because you can still see what they're
doing. I don't mind if the mic sucks as long as the volume is up.

I prefer written tutorials. But I still wouldn't read them.

I'd read them if they were in a format like this:

Probably both is OK, if clear, concise and straight to the point.
