Hello All,
Will the songs I have saved in Live 8 32 bit load OK when I upgrade to Live 9 64 bit? Sure hope so. I just ordered more RAM - for 8GB total - for the 64 bit.
Thanks
When I upgrade to Live 9 64 bit will my songs saved in 32

Yes it will be fine. You will have to tell the 64 bit version of Live where your 64 bit plug ins are and it will open the 64 bit versions in its place. If you have 32 bit plugs in that song that you don't have 64 bit versions of then you will have an issue.

Do your research before you upgrade. You can always fall back to Live 8 as you can run both but going from 32 to 64 will mainly affect anything with VST plugins. Native instruments and effects will be fine.
Check all your VSTs and see if they offer 64bit versions (most modern ones do). You may have to geet an updated installer for some.
If they don't and you really need them you will need to look at a bridge like jBridge to wrap the plugins in a 64bit container. Sounds more complex than it is (quite simp[le) but does cost about $30 which is worth it anyway as you can also wrap 64bit plugs back to 32 if ever needed.
Just keep in mind that once you save in Live 9 you are committed as there is no turning back.
