LIne and Mic Input Confusion - HELP PLEASE!

Hey all,

I run Live on a Powerbook and would like touse no external hardware at all.

Is there any way to let Ableton access the two different types of Inputs at the same time?

For example: Digital Performer will let me use the Mac Laptop (Powerbook 2011) Line input (stereo) and a USB mic at the same time - without an external interface at all.

Could Live do the same??

If you open the Audio/Midi Setup application (by default, it is located in the Applacations->Utilities folder) you can create an aggregate device in which you use both your line input and your usb device. Then, in Live you would set your audio input to use the aggregate device you created.

I have not tried using this with Live, and I am not home to try at the moment. But, you can give that a whirl. I hope this helps.
