Launchpad, Live, and Katapult: Bi-Directional communication

Post by TheGiant » Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:17 pm

I am using a Launchpad with Ableton 8, and Katapult 1.2 on a Macbook Pro running Lion. I have a mapping set up in Katapult that divides the launchpad in half (A deck, which I made green, and B deck, which I made red) where the left side is the A deck, and the top 16 pads on the left side are "hot cues" for the A deck. The top 16 pads on the right are the "hot cues" for the B deck. They aren't really hot cues, I just map them to the clip spaces in Ableton. My problem comes when I am trying to receive LED information from Ableton. I want the pad that is assigned to the currently playing clip to display amber while all the rest of the pads remain the color I assigned them in Katapult. I'm pretty sure Katapult supports this, I just don't know the language to make it happen. Any thoughts or ideas would be awesome! Thanks!

read through the documentation.
there is a section about this in there.

an example would be:

Code: Select all

offcolor yellow
oncolor redlow
all availible colors are defined in the doc.
hope this helped.

thanks allerdings. I actually can do that already, I just can't seem to make Ableton update the LED info. So when I have a clip stopped I want the launchpad button to be green (which I did) and when playing I want it to be amber (which I had for a bit so I know its possible)
