mc307 groove box as a midicontroller

Got chance of a cheap roland mc307 groovebox but with no manual. Can this be easily used as a midi controller for live. if so anybody know where I can get a manual.

I use a MC-505 as a controller.
You gotta really want it to work because if the 307 is similar the the 505, the outgoing MIDI is very quirky and specific to the device.
Some controls send midi and some don't.
Some send the full range 0-127 of a CC and some truncate it and only send, say, 23-99.
Some only send sysex messages.
etc....
So if you're ready to roll up your sleeves and do some bare metal MIDI work, go for it.

good luck , i remember the mc303 submenus & stupid manual ...
i m sure what you wanna do is possible & stupid but roland are known for their capacity of making everything hard to understand .

The biggest advantage I could see with an MC-307 would be using it's clock as the master and syncing the computer to it. why? Because the MC-307 has a dedicated pitch slider PLUS the nudge and break buttons; things that most people here have been begging Ableton to include...
