Saving Samples

Post by JCOWBELL » Mon Mar 11, 2013 12:32 am

I'm trying to save my samples I've made in Impulse as wav's so I can save them on my Roland SPD-S and trigger them.

At the minute when I'm exporting them it's playing my samples twice instead of just once. Anyone know how to rectify this?

Thanks

Try to right click, "Slice to MIDI." Sadly, this won't work in the Lite version though.

I've had better luck just recording the samples into the spd. I have not been able to see any samples I put on the card. They have to be 16 bit, 44.1 mono .wavs. Is that working fo you?

As to why it's playing twice, is that on the spd or in live?

It's playing back when I listen to the sample on itunes, it's double the length.

Maybe I will have to record into the SPD-S. I was hoping I could save all my loops as samples and then piece them together in Garageband.

Seems weird that I can't do this.

I think warping or something causes them to be 2x the length of the notes or flattening, one of the two can cause this as I have run into it in the past. If need be, load them up in an audio editor and cut them in half and save those off to a new file name, or use Flatten which I think will record out the size of the clip (1 bar, 2 bars, etc) vs doubling them, then locate the files and *copy* them elsewhere and rename them.

I've just recorded straight into my SPD-S. It worked.

Cheers!
