Audio editing in clip view

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else suggesting this. My biggest beef with the workflow of live is not being able to really edit audio clips without dragging them into arrangement view.

I'd love to be able to really slice and dice (cut and paste) loops and parts thereof directly in the clip editor in order to quickly create beat variations. That would be my #1 suggestion.
