Hi, I'm having an issue where when I load a long sample into simpler the sound gradually fades out to nothing as it plays.
I just can't figure out why it's happening, I've used the same sample before with no issues.
An ideas please? I'm an Ableton amateur so suggestions in basic language would be appreciated
Thanks.

I know this seems really obvious, but have you checked the volume envelope in Simpler? Turn up release and you should be fine

Thanks for the reply. Obvious is fine as it probably is something obvious, in this case though release is set to max. I've pretty much fiddled with every Simpler option and just can't fathom it out!
Thanks.

Anyone else got any ideas on this please?
A bit more info. Any long sample that I load into simpler/sampler will not play to the end, it just gradually fades out to nothing. If I just load the samples as audio tracks they work fine.
By long sample I mean a 1 minute sample with about 30 seconds of it selected to play.
Thanks.

Do you have the sustain set to max?

Thanks for the responses, sorted it.
I was just putting one note at the beginning of the clip to trigger the sample, I figured as it was set to not loop that it would play the entire sample to the end but no, it needed the note to be the same length as the sample.
Thanks.

I was just going to say... Make sure your midi note lengths reflect the size of the sample. If the full sample is 4 bars long, you will need a midi note that is 4 bars long to here the entire sound.
