save clip greyed out

Post by RTRT » Fri Mar 22, 2013 5:34 pm

In Live 9 - Save clip is greyed out in all my clips over a certain length ?
I can revese them to make a new clip then reverse them again back as they should be.
Save is then enabled. Buts thats the only way around the problem I can find & is a very long, tedious & uses up lots of space.
Is this a bug ?

I would send in a bug report to them. How long are these clips that cause the save button to be grayed out? Just curious as I have some long(er) samples somewhere...

it seems to be anything over about 40seconds long (eg the main tracks I am adding loops to)

Any resolution to this? I am having the exact same problem in Live 9. I change warp markers, and cant save the clip. When I go back to Live 8, it all functions normally again.

I'm having the same problem.

When I load any mp3 into a clip, an analysis file gets created, however, the clip has the Edit and Save buttons greyed out for some reason.
Can someone help?

Saving clips (even long ones) works perfectly on my Live 9.1

As darkenedsoul suggests, create a status report (Help -> Get support) and upload it to the Ableton support page.

Good luck!

One thing I forgot to ask was this in Session or Arrangement View? Just curious on that. And did you get this resolved yet? Are you running latest/semi-latest?
