its easier to just state your setup than having to go back and forth to find out different OS issues and setup problems, as a lot of bugs are similar in both mac and windows.it would just be redundant.

It's come up before but since Live on the Mac and PC are pretty identical and most topics are relevant to both it seems like a very bad idea to me.

Unless you have 3 boards - "Mac only", "PC only" and "Cross-platform" - with next to no posts ending up on "Mac only" or "PC only"...

Nah, still sounds like a bad idea to me.

can I be the first to say that the PC section would be better than the Mac section and would run faster too!

:p

it would, of course, look terrible

The MAc section could have a big forum and a mini forum. Together it would be referred to as the iForum. Also, the Mac forum skins would look better than the PC forum skins however the PC section can custom make their forum skins where the Mac section cannot. Did I miss anything?

i like having everything together. what if someone had a tip in one forum that didn't get put in the other, for example? that would be a loss. andrew

Tips n' Tricks and General should stay integrated. MAYBE (just maybe) seperate forums could work for the Bugs and Problems forum... Though I would prefer keeping it integrated too.

Instead, what about an icon in each thread within the Bugs and Problems forum for whether the bug / problem is related to Mac or PC?

I have changed my username; Now posting as:

Er, how would you know?

Say you find a bug on the PC version, you wouldn't know whether or not it affects Macs too.

Even if you have a Mac that's bug free, you still don't know if it affects some PCs and some Macs...
