Hello,
I bought a new computer. I have the BOOT DRIVE on a smaller capacity drive and have it on Raid 1 setup. I thought I had INSTALLED Ableton 8.4 and Sonar X2 on a separate internal 2TB drive. I wanted to keep all audio files, samples etc. on a drive other than the Boot drive.
After starting up Ableton, I'm finding out that the "LIBRARY" was installed on the Boot drive under a "User". I'm also finding out that all the samples, presets etc. were also installed on the boot drive.
I want to move the entire Ableton Library folder to my 2TB drive and not on a drive that is part of a Raid Setup. Copying the entire "Library" folder to the other drive is simple enough but HOW can I set up Ableton to Point there as the "Library Folder" ?? Can it be done safely?
Thanks
Ed

Re: Live 8.4 - "Library" installed on the wrong Drive
Preferences is where you should be pointing/setting the library to. I would think copying it over, changing its location in preferences, renaming original one and testing things out should solve your issue.
