BCR2000 not working in Windows 2000!!!!!!!!!!!
BCR2000 not working in Windows 2000!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anyone help with this. I've just bought a BCR2000 - but can't get it to work with Win2000. I've installed the USB drivers from the Behringer site - but on reboot Win2000 asks me to insert the CDROM with the rest of the installation file. But I didn't get any CD with my BCR2000 - so I really am at my wits end here.

I have a BCR2000 and am using it with a PC running Windows 2000. No problems here. You may have BCR drivers that are too old for Win2K. Use the following procedure to force Windows to ignore the current drivers and install new ones:
Unplug the BCR2000 from your PC. Use Windows Explorer to go into the WINNT folder, then the INF folder inside that. If you can't find the INF folder, just change C:\WINNT (or wherever your Windows installation is) in the address bar to C:\WINNT\INF (then press enter). You should see lots of PNF and INF files.
Click on Search (or go through the View menu -> Explorer Bar -> Search). In the "Containing text" text box, type in "BCR2000" (NO QUOTES!!), then click on Search Now. An INF file should eventually appear (in my case it was OEM17.INF but don't assume it will be the same for you). Delete it.
Download this ZIP file and extract it somewhere (e.g. C:\DRIVERS\BCR2000): http://www.behringer.com/_software/bcr2000_1-10.zip
Go to wherever you extracted the ZIP, and run BCSETUP.EXE. Follow the instructions, then after the drivers have installed, turn on your BCR and plug it back into your PC.
EDIT: Sorry, updated post with the correct driver link. Behringer's site is confusing sometimes...
