push and maschine combo
anyone using them together?
i find it is not most stable connection and uses a huge amount of usb bandwith
the benefits of of the combo for me is selecting a pad/sample on machine and then playing the sample with push and record it with maschine
it's fantastic

Re: push and maschine combo
Not yet, as my Maschine is due to be delivered on Monday, but I am using Push and and my Novation SL MKII with no issues in Live 9.
Re: push and maschine combo
I don't have Push yet, but I would love to hear more deatail about how people are using Push and Maschine together.
Re: push and maschine combo
I'll definitely give you some input once I get a chance to sit down with the two after finals are done. What I can already tell is Maschine will still be my go to for drum design and Push will definitely fill the void of melodies and harmonies with it's beautiful 64 pad + scale combo. Don't be fooled that negative frame of mind that it either has to be Maschine or Push, using both to their strengths can only result in good things.

Re: push and maschine combo
using them together is tremendous
play the kit or whatever on maschine pads and use push to play pads in keyboard mode all without switching any settings
drumracks do not have this functionality

Re: push and maschine combo
I guess the only question then is whether to replace the mouse and midi keyboard with push as an instrument. If you play keyboard, the issue then is the cost to make the transition to a new physical interface for making music (since you can get all the scales, etc. from Live 9, and don't need the push)
Also, the Live 9 template for maschine gives a basic ability to do this as well.....
So $599 for a midi controller (seems high, even with all its build quality). Nevertheless, I am sorely tempted..... even though I have an APC40 and a Launchpad as well.....

Re: push and maschine combo
I enjoy loading Maschine into Live from Push. Then each device can handle its own interface. Which is great fun!
The only times I might use Push into Maschine for is possibly melodic things, or Scene change via notes on a unique midi channel. Otherwise, I let Maschine do its own job. I don't really produce, just mess around improvising
