Backlight issue with Push?

Finally received my Push yesterday. Haven't had much time to have a proper mess around as i had a son last week

I did notice that when i plugged it in the lighting behind all the black pads was almost non-existant.....to the point where i can't read the description of what the pad is. Would this be because it needs to be plugged into a power source other than USB to gain the extra power to light them?

If so, why do Ableton not provide a plug with Push (regardless of whether this is the issue or not)....after paying almost $600 you would expect a plug to be included!?

Please let me know if anyone else has this issue, or if i am doing something wrong please advise

Mine came with a power pack and adapters for various countries. Even with it plugged in though it is still to dim under normal lighting conditions IMO.

Yeah i thought it was supposed to come with a plug. I'll contact my reseller here in Oz and get them to send me one.

Another problem i have is that i use it with a 27 inch imac, the glare from the screen blocks out the LED on Push so i really want to get my hands on a stand so it's slightly higher and angles it towards me.

Any ideas when we can get our hands on one of the stands we've seen everywhere?

the black buttons can be non-lit if there use is not applicable

It does make the Push hard to learn if you can't read what button is where........But Black is cool........

This may be the case as i didn't have a proper mess around with it, so i'm hoping that once i get it set up properly they become lit up better
