echo indigo dj, please expert help needed!!!

Hi there everyone,
why when I press the cue button on any given channel,audio comes out on the speakers, eventhough track activator is off??? On live, master seems to be mute , but sound comes from the speakers. The opposite happens when cueing button is off but sound comes through my headphones...
Seems like I am doing something basic wrong or is my card (second hand e bay) not working properly.
Off course I have cue out to 1-2 and master out to 3-4. Only when both track activator and cue button are off there is no sound fron the speakers...
Please help, going crazy...

Ok, first things first
when sound is coming out of the speakers ... turn the little volume nubbin on the Echo card up and down - does the volume go up and down out of the speakers?
It shouldnt!
- the headphone output is the one at the back.

if its not that .. reply and say - its not that. I'll walk you through the routing thing

all your solutions will be found in the echo mixer pannel.
there you can set if out 1-2 combines virtual outs 1-2 with 3-4 or vice versa.
play with the mutes on the two virtual busses... you will find peace here...

Well, the volume control does not affect the volume on the speakers, just the headphones, as it should.
Playing with the mutes on the echo control does not seem to do any good. I think I've tried all possible variations with the mute buttons...

What does it say you are using for the audio driver? Are you saying that if you go into the echo dj console and mute everything on all channels that you still hear the speakers? You might want to yank the drivers clean up your system and then try to install them again.

specifically - in your echo panel ...

in the top right quarter of the panel do you see the 2 little channel strips called A1-2 and A3-4

have you used them?
