Hi, i just bought Push and Ableton and i have two questions. is there a simple stereo spread effect? like the one in the drum rack pad after you slice audio to midi right below Pan? there's a stereo knob on the reverb and theres also some settings in EQ8 but i was wondering if there was a simpler way of adding stereo spread an audio file without having to slice it to a midi track or bypassing the reverb, you know?
last question, is there a way to turn gate off on Push(drum racks)? like i just press and release a pad and it plays audio clip in its entirety?
two questions
Re: two questions
For the length of a triggered sample, adjust the Amplitude Release.
As for width/spread, I think in a lot of sampler/synth situations, they'll have left and right samples detuned slightly (should be a description in the manual). There are ways of emulating that sort of. I don't kno of you'd like the result haha. One is learning how to use the Chorus effect. Another is the Frequency Shifter. Those are some pretty extreme options. I'm sure there are many many other types (I'm really only offering ones that might come closest to that specific method).

I'm not sure if this is what you're after, but it does provide a good stereo widening effect that I use. Highly recommend Mr Bill's tutorials, they're spot on and I've learnt buckets from him. His music's pretty amazing too.
