Transposing acapellas

Transposing acapellas

Lets say I have an acapella sang in c minor. The synth I'm using sounds better in d minor. If I transpose the acapella +1 is it in c# minor or should I do +2 for d minor?

Haha nah, just didnt know if it was by semitones or not. Thanks for the help.
