Hey guys, do any of you have recommendations for good, quality USB hubs (preferably ones with USB 3.0 capabilities... planning for the future)? I'm looking for recommendations that you've used before.
I purchased a 7 slot USB hub from micro center which has 4 2.0 slots and 3 3.0 slots. Unfortunately, (and fortunately I haven't opened it yet) reviews show that this Siig model I picked up doesn't have enough power to have multiple external hard drives attached to it. Right now I only have one external, but in the near future I plan on picking up a second and would like to have a hub that has capabilities to power multiple drives. There are so many options out there I'm just curious what you all have used that is reliable for music related USB items (controllers, interfaces, maschine.. hard drives, etc.). I'd like to avoid the hassle of purchasing and blindly guessing which ones will work or not.
Thanks very much in advance!
USB Hubs?
Re: USB Hubs?
This may be obvious to most, but ensure you buy a powered usb hub. A powered hub comes with an ac adapter and does not only rely on bus power from the computer. This will allow you to run external HDDs and more.
Re: USB Hubs?
I have this one which works OK on both my Windows and Mac OS partition. It has 3 USB 3.0 ports for your high-speed needs and 4 USB 2.0 ports for a keyboard, mouse or other stuff that doesn't really need much bandwidth.

D Link DUB H-7
It's been plugged in and on for about 2 yrs now and also taken to shows. It has 7 inputs w/ green LED. As far as I'm concerned it's awesome! Never gave me a single problem, and it's usually completely filled w/ controllers.
