Stuttering audio problem when using midi with saffire 6

Hope this is the right place for this topic

I am trying to use a Novation K Station as a midi controller in ableton through the midi port on my focusrite saffire sound card

Whenever I twist faders or use the pitch/mod wheels the audio stutters and the timing goes off, and I have no clue as to why it does this

What could I be doing wrong?
