midi mapping audio input channel

Is there a way to midi map the audio input for a track?

For example, I have the Ext In device selected, with a couple different audio inputs coming in through my interface. I would like to use my midi controller to change which input gets routed through a track.

Any way to do this?

I don't think it's mappable...

I'd be careful to change inputs while Live is running, you can crash while doing this.
