UAD crackling noise with Ableton

anybody know why UAD units have a crakling noise when being used with ableton. I'm Using a G5 so there is the option of using the UAD as AU or VST. regardless the crakling is still there.
anyone having this problem? thank you for the help in advance.

this happens because the asio buffer size for plugins in live is 128.

With the UAD1 you can set additional dma buffers. I have 2 DMA buffers allocated in the UAD preferences and my asio buffer size is 256 for incoming and outgoing audio.

this should fix the problem.
