Different Softwares audio quality

Post by frisbi » Tue Jul 09, 2013 5:31 pm

I have the feeling that if I open the same audio file with different softwares, the sound is different- every software gives a different colour to the file....

my question is: if I save the same file with the "save as" option of different softwares, do I get a different result at the end?

I make this question because I noticed that Sonic Studio Soundblade has a better sound compared to all the others softwares (Pro Tool, Audition, Ableton) and I was wondering if it was possible to give this better sound to the file

since I make my mastering with Pro Tool 10 and I don't want to change my method, what if I then open my mastered track with Soundblade and without changing anything i just save the file with Soundblade?

everything about this is completely wrong. forget all of it and just make music. the tools are fine, work on the user.

Yeah this topic has been over-discussed on almost every forum I have ever come across.

It depends on a number of factors but the term "better sound" is a subjective one and you could spend just as much time investigating the slight differences between DAWs or just use them to make stuff.

Isn't Soundblade intended For mastering? Like an auto-master4dummies kind of application?

I wonder what would happen if you repeatedly saved a file over and over in the application?

cringeworthy.

I can screw up my own tunes without help from scam artists.
