Launchpad Usermode 1 LEDs not working after moving to Live 9

Anyone else having this problem? Am I just missing something here?

This worked for me fine in Live 8: i'd set MIDI from to my Drum Rack, MIDI to to the Launchpad, Monitor set to In, and a Velocity MIDI effect.

I do that in Live 9 and I don't get any LED light feedback, is this bugged? I really needed that feature...

I'm glad i'm not alone.

I've noticed that it still effects Session Mode and User Mode 2 in that it causes random lights to flicker, which it used to do in Live 8 too. So on some level it is still connected, it just doesn't work properly in User Mode 1 where it actually matters.

This exact problem afflicted my rig today. This morning everything was fine, and the next time I loaded it, it's exactly as described - User 1 has nothing, yet the flashing lights appear sparsely around Session and User 2. Tried a USB port reset, confirmed with a second launchpad that it wasn't the hardware... looking forward to the answer...

Same with beta Live 9.0.5b5 . Crash program when i try routing with the launchpad

Working for me with 9.0.4 (install in other folder, not replace).

Difficult to find 9.0.4 version, ableton have only 9.0.5 or beta 9.0.5b5(find him on the "p.bay" ...)

But it's working

Waiting for 9.0.6

... and disable auto update in Ableton

I contacter Novation tech support about this and here is the reply:

Hi Robert,
Thank you for your email.
Due to updates in Max4Live since the introduction of the Launchpad step seq, it is no longer compatible.
The step seq was built with Live 8.1.
I have added a feature request for this to be brought up to date and I'll keep you updated on this.

Hi everyone.
One thing I noticed is that my user 1 mode lights up only when the output is set to "CH. 5" under the "Midi to Launchpad" selection.

I don't know why this works. CH 3, seems to do crazy stuff, and Ch. 6 seems to make it go to User 2 mode.

Hope this helps some people where in the same boat as me.

Yea, I noticed this after Live 9.0.5. I can get it to work if I put the output of the LaunchPad to Ch. 5. Hopefully it will be addressed soon
