Syncing problems using Ableton, Midisport 1x1 & 707

Hey Peeps,

I've checked out other posts but I can't find anything that helps.

So I can't get Ableton and the 707 to work properly.
The best I get is it starts and then stops after a few bars. Ableton keeps on going but the 707 stops. Very strange.
The midisport seems to be very temperamental with minor changes made.

If someone can put into bullet point of what needs to be set right that would be awesome.

My system -
Macbook pro 10.8.4
Ableton Live 9
M-Audio midisport (updated drivers)
Tr-707 (in sync mode S-n)
