tempo automation

Post by rick chaff » Sun May 08, 2005 10:23 pm

is there a way to pre-record tempo changes into a live arrangement? I would like some subtle tempo fluctuation around the end and beginnings of sections and for example a dramatic retard at the end of a piece as you would hear classical music.

The reason I would like it to be pre-programed is I want to be free to play guitar or keyboard without having to control these wanted tempo changes.

I may need to do complete recordings and play them in warp mode with a high grain setting and set the tempo before I play but it would be nice to work with loops and control the tempo changes within a track.

thanks

i am no expert but if you create a live set beforehand, with the tempo change and save it. And then you you go to actually play just overdub the saved set with the new clips, then the tempo change should take effect.

I hope this makes sense

there is a probably a easier way to do this though.

Thanks

I'm also new... and I found the tempo envelope in the manual and realized I can program the tempo
