So I think this is important. We should build an online repository of Synths and Plugins already set up in rack format....(which are in case you didn't already notice really awesome when used with push!)
I'm currently working my way through the waves plugins and a couple of synths. But even some of the Ableton devices aren't set up for racks (or if they are they are combined with other fx and stuff. Sometimes you just want a compressor or an eq without all the other stuff?
Few things...Any devices should be set up whereby the most important functions (or whatever you deem to be the most important functions) should be on the first 8 macro knobs.
If there are any other noteworthy parameters-(and also if you can be arsed)- you should probably leave the rack unfolded to show the slider banks. These-in turn should probably (again if your arsed) be ordered whereby the most important parameters are given precedence ie they are moved to sliders 1,2,3,4 etc. (note sliders 1,2,3,4 correspond to the vertical colums NOT the horizontal rows (but you knew that right)
Finally save as rack and upload somewhere kinda permanent until i figure out a place to put everything.
Will categorize/organise all uploads so similar items will be put together.
Thanks,
Jamie

Here too : viewtopic.php?f=1&t=194622
Pay attention that at the moment (this could change if ableton is willing) the macro dial are not bidirectional wich mean you the parameters you mapped it to will be reseted when you load the rack.

Hey Ubik, i don't quite get you? Isn't that what you'd want when you load a rack? I don't have push so maybe I'm just missing something obvious? if so sorryUbik wrote:wich mean you the parameters you mapped it to will be reseted when you load the rack.
Re: LETS MACRO THINGS.......
Sorry i forgot some words
What i meant is that it reset the mapped parameters of the vst so basically you're losing the original vst preset unless you tweak the macros until you find it again.
