Increase sustain?

I am trying to play some piano songs on push and the fact that the note stops ringing as soon as the pad is let go makes it harder to play...is there any way to make the piano notes continue to ring and fade out over time after a pad is struck or is continuing to apply pressure to each pad the only way? Sorry if this is an ignorant question...

1. use a sustain pedal
2. use an instrument where you can set release time
3. put a Note Length device in front of the instrument

Thanks for the quick reply. I have most of the max packs...can you give any examples of instruments that have this setting or where I adjust it?

One example:

In instrument racks - Piano keys - Grand Piano. Drag that into a midi channel. The sixth macro knob is named "release". Release in this case is part of the volume envelope, which is mainly ADSR, which stands for Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release.

Release is to do with how long the instrument will carry on making a sound after you've let go of your keyboard (or whatever button you pressed). A low value means the sound will stop as soon as you let go of a key. The higher the value, the longer the note (or sound) will be sustained after you've let go of the key.
