Tempo shifting track recommendations

Post by beattorrent » Thu Oct 31, 2013 5:02 pm

Hi everyone i dont know if this is the right place to post this but i just want to ask if any of you has a good recommendation for tempo shifting tracks, a good example of this is Bassnectar & Datsik's track "YES" it starts at 87bpm but at the 3rd verse it shifts to 70bpm which is good for transitioning on my sets as I find this track very useful in genre-hopping, I wonder if there are other tracks like these.

Many thanks in advanced.

Hey man, if you're wanting to change tempo over time in Arrangement View that's no problem, you can simply right click (ctrl +click) the tempo field in the upper left corner and click "show automation". It will open the automation for the tempo on the master track and you can draw in automation over the time which you want the tempo to change.

If you're looking to do this in Session View, I would turn to Max For Live, the user community at (www.maxforlive.com) has created multiple devices for this purpose. Here is a link to one of them for example (http://www.maxforlive.com/library/devic ... -automator).

Hope that helps!
