asdfasdf

Post by globalgoon » Tue May 17, 2005 10:36 am

subject is acting very strange: it's stuck on asdfasdf and i can't change it

my question:

what is a good wide screen monitor to use with live (not too expensive)
I've only ever used 14 inch B4

EDIT: i can't even change it at the edit stage! :<

1280 x 1024 seems to be the max resolution for 19 inch monitors, i'd like 1600 wide!

my laptop has 1920 x 1200 (precision M60) ... runs Live very well, enough room for Reaktor etc along one side of the screen.
Dell Precision M60, Quattro USB, UC33e, Korg Triton Extreme, Motif Rack. SX, Reaktor, Absynth, SoundForge, Acid, Bidule.

Whats stranger is: how did asdfasdf get there in the first place? (Other than it being a nervous drumming of the left hand - check your qwerty)

attack/sustain/decay/fuck off??

and why are there 78,000 Google hits for it?

and is it obvious I've got nothing better to do??? :D

Thats the strangest thing. When I just need to hit some random keys in order to fill in a web form (or something) I always strike out with my left hand and hit "asdfasdf"!

I have too much time too. :)

i dont know about the U.K. but in the US Dell has the 2005FPW DVI 20" Widescreen with a resolution of 1680x1050(!!!)for $525 USD. (£285) And everyone i know that owns one says they are as good as the Apple displays. very sharp.

hopefully you can find that model in the U.K.

me too, about 2 months ago. i paid $400 for the not-widescreen version, same res. take a look at the specs of each. the one i almost bought was a 500 or 600:1 contrast ratio; the one i actually got is 800:1.

check dealnews &/or dealmac daily and you'll find some incredible, er, deals.
