hello,
When routing the click out to headphones, the main mix is still audible. The click isn't coming through the main mix, but only the cue out has both. Why? and how can i isolate the click alone?
sorry it is a rather basic question, but i'm quite the beginner.
cue out won't isolate click?

Re: cue out won't isolate click?
This sounds like the same issue I had and it is most likely due to your Audio Interface.
If your Audio Interface only has 2 outputs then you'll have to change some things to allow for the click & main mix to be separate.
With my setup, I have a Lambda Lexicon Audio Interface that has 2 outputs (Left & Right) but sadly to have a click implemented properly you need more than just 2 outputs. {Outputs 1 & 2 will be for your Left & Right main mix - and - Outputs 3 & 4 will be for your click track}
But since you and I don't have this setup (i'm assuming) here is how to overcome it.
You'll have to set your Master Track to Output only on the LEFT (or right) side. Then, you'll need to set your click track to output on the other side obviously. Now, for your Audio Interface, you'll have to run your main mix in mono - using just one cable from the LEFT output to your speaker. FINALLY, your headphones will plug into RIGHT output of your Audio Interface.
I'm doing this from memory, so it might be confusing, so PM me if you have questions.
