is it possible to assign colour to Drumrack pad on Push

Post by Monchai » Wed Nov 06, 2013 3:37 pm

I know traditionally it's not even possible with Live, but I just wonder if there's M4L patch that could do so. Having different colour on the pad could be really helpful identifying what kind of samples I have put in the slot. If I have a lot of Drumrack patches I wouldn't have to remember the pad position in each bank.(right now I have to remember that I set each of the 16 slot position in a bank to mean different thing) Things like 1st pad is impact samples 8th is Wobble Bass and 10 is long pad loop. It works fine but it kinda limit my finger drumming practise to always hit them in the same pattern. Anyway, thanks in advance.

This would be awesome! Not only would it be great for Push, but also when looking at the drumrack and being able to quickly identify where your kicks, snares, hats, etc (if you color code them) and going in to edit via mouse or force the focus on Push's display.

Currently, you can set the color of the mixer channels of drumracks but would be tits if the cell was able to display the colors. or even just the headers in the cells.

There is so much uncharted territory with Push at the moment. For instance, a single pad has the ability to display more than one color at a time. If you unplug the usb cable from Push and plug in the power supply and watch the light show it performs, you can see that the pads display two colors at once when it runs across the board.
