Push-Global Quant- M4L device
Salam.
I don't why there's no default function for this, but...
This device gives you access to Live's Global Quantification menu from Push.
Put it on your master track.
Press Select while turning the Tempo knob. The value will displays on Push's LCD screen.
I didn't implemented all the quantification values but only the one I use. You can easily add the one you need into the patch.
Here you'll find : None, 1 bar, 1/2 bar, 1/16 bar and 1/32 bar.

Thanks, works as expected, apart from it not updating on the LCD screen. Push's display doesn't change. So if I'm on my default 1/2 bar setting, it will only display that even though on the PC screen I can see it change between the values you implemented.

Re: Push-Global Quant- M4L device
It should work, at least it works for me. But thanks for reporting this back.
I did it some time ago and used a Push abstraction made by florian zand (the Ableton Push Development Kit) for the LCD thing, because at that time I didn't took the time to learn how to control the LCD yet.
I'll re-program this part, as I know now how to do it easily.
BTW, I'm using 9.1 beta and didn't check it on 9.0, so it might be related to this at some point, I don't know.
It was made under Max 6.1.4 if I remember well, or 6.1.3 ?
BTW, just use the latest Max (6.1.5) and the latest Push firmware.
Let me know if it still doesn't work.
(Do you have, at least, the "Global Quantize" displayed when you press select and touch the tempo encoder ? Plus, the tempo information should disappear when doing this.)

You're right Ted, a patch chord was missing
I've updated the file on maxforlive.com
Tell me if it works now.

Yeah I use beta 9.1. Dunno if my max for live updates automatically. Will check the revised version at some point
Re: Push-Global Quant- M4L device
Just tested the new version, still exactly the same result as described earlier - no update on Push LCD.

Sorry for a short thread jack, but I want to use this case of M4L expertise being here
Valium, do you think it could be possible through M4L to give Push control over the five groove pool parameters and possibly browsing the clip groove pool? (Clip nudge would be useful too) This would be SOOO amazing!

Ted, there's a new version 1.2, the LCD bug is definitely fixed + all quantification values are available.
Thanks to 12RT2 who gave me a hand.

Tom, I never use the groove pool, and don't even know if something's implemented for it in the API, I'll have a look.

Re: Push-Global Quant- M4L device
See the thing is, I don't either! But I'm sure I would actually use it A LOT if it would be accessable through knobs.Valiumdupeuple wrote:Tom, I never use the groove pool, and don't even know if something's implemented for it in the API, I'll have a look.
Playing with one of the parameters with a mouse is ok for adjusting things you know bother you, having knobs to control all 5 of them at the same time...I don't think I would have a single clip ever again that does not use groove!

Evening.
was gonna test it now, but the device is not in the link anymore.
