deleting one pads midi from Push
Hi. Just got Push. fiddling around with the drum rack sequencer.
If i play in a sequence on a single pad, how can i delete it without deleting the whole clip? do i just have to select the pad and remove the notes manually or can i delete a sequence on a single pad?

Re: deleting one pads midi from Push
You can delete all the notes from a single pad by either holding DELETE and then pressing the pad, or vice versa.
Re: deleting one pads midi from Push
that doesnt work. not in the slightest.tedlogan wrote:You can delete all the notes from a single pad by either holding DELETE and then pressing the pad, or vice versa.
Re: deleting one pads midi from Push
Indeed, it doesn't. I must have dreamt or wished for it. Apologies.
Re: deleting one pads midi from Push
So does that mean there is no way? Seems a bit sad if you record something you don't like on one pad, but you like on the other pads, you've got to delete the whole clip and start again. If you're jamming on a 32 bar clip............
Re: deleting one pads midi from Push
tedlogan is right about this but you're going to need to wait for the 9.1 to drop.
It works as he described if you press Delete then a pad but it will delete the Session clip if you press a pad first then delete.

Re: deleting one pads midi from Push
Just checked again, I can confirm what panten says. No idea why I thought I was wrong earlier...I might have been running 9.06 on the laptop when I double checked that time.
Delete+cellpad press definitely deletes just that particular cell's steps.

This doesn't work for me. What version(s) are you running?tedlogan wrote:Just checked again, I can confirm what panten says. No idea why I thought I was wrong earlier...I might have been running 9.06 on the laptop when I double checked that time.

Re: deleting one pads midi from Push
the 9.1 beta. Rumours are that it will be released soon, but I don't know anything about that, except a survey last time I visited, asking mainly about the stability of 9.1.26b. Which could be a sign that it'll be out soon.
Re: deleting one pads midi from Push
I kinda wish that there was a bit more thought put into what all the buttons do; in a context sensitive way.
e.g. Pressing Delete + Loop Length Controls = Deletion of only that loop.
I build up sections of my tracks by making multiple variations of a loop in the same Clip. Having to jump to the mouse to select the visible MIDI notes is a PITA.
Same could be said for the Duplicate button for duplicating notes/Clips etc.
I submitted official requests on the Beta for this so fingers crossed for the future of Push.
