Open drum rack
Click on "Show / Hid Input/Output Section"
Within the chain list, you will see some new options, including a MIDI "in" note chooser
(It says "receive". This choose which Midi note activates the drum in a given cell)
Click on that to open up a list of all the possible MIDI notes
In the range of notes B0 to A4, you will see listed a set of suggestions ("GM Suggestions"
) as to what should go where.
I have never paid it the slightest bit of attention.
I just allocate them where it seems easiest for purposes of ham handed finger drumming
