Select device mapping cuts sound

Hi,

Seems like mapping a controller pad to both trigger a drum rack pad/sound and simultainiously select a device/track isn't possible. Anyone know a workaround?

They both map, but with device/track select mapped, the drum rack will not sound.

Bump, anyone know of any workarounds?

I used to like my old Korg ESX. You press a drum pad, all controls (effectively blue hand) now edit that sound.

In ableton, this cannot be done because drum pad/note cc either switches device (enabling blue hand) or triggers the sound. Can't be both.


Any help/workarounds appreciated.
