Slots on ableton push for a case?

I just noticed that my push controller has two slots-one on top and one on bottom. does anyone know what they are for? and why doesn't ableton include whatever accessory these slots are designed for?

There was plans to make an aluminum cover that fit those slots when Push was first announced, but I'm guessing that's not happening yet. You can maybe still find some picks of the cover from back then.
