Is a Push sale in the near future likely?!

Post by TomViolenz » Fri Dec 06, 2013 2:49 pm

Hey guys,
I finally have the money saved up, to join you in the fun, without having to annoy the other customers by blocking review units in my local music store the whole day
I was thinking I should get it as a Christmas present for myself, but then hesitated because I wondered, if Ableton might make a post Christmas or New Years sale.
What do you guys think, is this likely?!

Lots of places have had push on sale this past week, zzounds.com, guitar center, musicians friend, etc. Someone posted a thread here on how to get one for $430 just a few days ago in fact.

Tom you missed last weeks sale. I got my push for 436 on Black Friday from zzsounds too. I would wait until after Christmas or New Years for a retailer to have a one day price drop.

PSSL.com and jrrshop.com will probably have a one day price sale you can get zzsounds.com to beat. Subscribe to their email list. Or as soon as I get a notification I'll post it on this thread.

Unfourtunately big sales like this are not so common in Germany. If someone knows of offers like this in Germany I would be very greatful!

Tom, it's XMas time, c'mon man - treat yourself ;)

Even if you do find it on sale, it probably won't be by that much...unless the post xmas January sales offer some real special deals.

2014 namm is coming up. The abes might mention a push mini or a different variation of push. which maybe a price drop in the works.

There could also be another company like Native Instruments making a push competitor. That would force a price drop.

Aren't there sales in Germany after Christmas or New Years?

I was low on funds all year, but I saved a little here and there every month and got the push. I was a skeptic at first, but now I spend about an hour a day just practicing or composing new music. Even with all my MPCs and other toys combined I spent 2 hours a week playing. The push even with its LED flaws makes me think about practicing and playing all day when I'm not on it.

You think you have it bad? I do this and don't even have Push
And no, I'm certainly not wavering in my decision to get Push! I just want to save a few bucks, so I can spend them on other stuff like Equilibrium :)

Well, if I'd manage to save 100€ I would be already half way to also get Equilibrium!

Yes there are usually sales around the new year, but I'm not sure Ableton would participate. (The price of a new APC40 for instance fell never below 350€ in all of its live time here and even this drop is recent)

I really don't know how the American music chains are able to sell these products so cheap, but it never happend in Germany :(

I personally wouldn't care. If I can save $100 by waiting till after Christmas... I'd gladly give $100 to have it now. But that's me. I'm very impatient & impulsive.

I should have pulled the trigger on the $430, but made up my mind a day late (I was trying to practice restraint)I got mine for $470. It arrived last night. Woke up bright & early, spent the last 7 hours figuring it out.... actually about 30 minutes to figure out how to make it do what I want to do & 6.5 hours jamming. :D

Being poor sometimes sucks, but I have saved up for quite some month now to buy it and every little bit that stays left over helps to build up the set up I have in mind.
Besides, not being able to just buy everything, does help to focus on the good things I already have and the few things that I can buy. I'm at a point where I'm actually glad that I'm not getting distracted by every NewShiny :-)

I've been saving since they announced it last year.

Keep at it Tom, Equilibrium is amazing and worth the wait. Start reading the manual now though! LOL

Wow, coming from you, this is certainly an endorsment!
But I seem to recall that it was actually one of your posts mentioning it, that made me check it out in the first place.
