RGB Feedback on custom assignments?

Hi everyone using Ableton with a MIDI Controller…
I have here Livid's Ohm RGB and it is theoretically capable of backlighting its buttons in 7 different colors. However in Ableton when one assigns a button to a function via MIDI learn, the button will be off when the parameter is below 127 and green when at 127 (velocity).
The Ohm Editor Livid Instruments provide only allows global color change for the different velocities, but not individual settings for the buttons.

Is there any way to determine in Ableton which velocity is being sent to a button for its backlight?
I have thought about work arounds but they prove to be a massive rigmarole every time and clash with the function of the button itself as for I would have to set up note clips to send to the Ohm in the desired velocity to get a red light instead of green for all 64 buttons in 7 different velocities — though this clip's activity will be shown on the button as off/yellow/green and replaces the note the clip plays as soon as its turned off (the note). This basically does not work efficiently.

I have made pathetic attempts to understand the numerous python files, but as a matter of fact I don't even know where to look, nor how to even decompile the .pyc's… in order to find perhaps a way of mapping different buttons to different colors/velocities…

is this at all a feasible objective? am I speaking in riddles?

Say, I want to use a button to activate an effect or a clip with an envelope and I want it to stand apart from the other buttons by having a white button when 'off' and a light blue button when 'on'. I would understand that I cannot choose the colors individually for every button in every set on the fly, but perhaps I can set up the grid so that I have 4x(4x4) different color-sets etc. to have better overview.

Has anyone got any ideas?
