Push / Drum Rack / Standard Note Sequencing

Post by audiowright » Thu Jan 02, 2014 3:49 am

Is there a way I can control a Drum Rack with Push using the regular note/step sequencer that auto populates with other instruments?

I just tried this and it does not work. so here's the work around i came up with.

create a drum rack
create a new midi track call it "drum midi" for explanation purposes.
on drum rack set midi input to "drum midi" and set monitor to IN

now if you select the "drum midi" track you get the keyboard layout rather than the drum sequencer layout.

after a little play i found pitch bend slider now controls the pitch of each drum hit... pretty cool

Thanks for the replies. :D

It would be nice if they made it an option instead of finding a work around. With the new note sequencer for instruments, I have no desire to work with the drum racks sequencer. Much rather be looking at all my drum hits at once.

Check out the PXT Live and PXT Live Plus scripts.
There are youtube videos.
I think what you want to do is accomplished there.
