I just took a chance and sprung for the new Zenpad-Oriental pack. I was very pleasantly surprised; the Middle Eastern rhythms do not have as much variation as I would have liked (but are still quite acceptable) but the instrumental clips are very impressive; lots of feeling - the humanity of the musicians really shows. The rhythms are all 4/4, (mostly with a Greek syrto flavor) so none of the really complex Turkish rhythms (or even a Greek Tsamiko). Nevertheless, it is a very impressive package, with some excellent musicians taking part. It is really fun to play around with the construction kits also..

I don't have time right now to write a good, extensive review; but I do have some experience in Middle Eastern music, and IMO the pack is definitely worth the investment.....

Re: Zenpad-Oriental Pack
I purchased the Mantra version, and though they sound good, they're just audio loops. I was hoping for a playable instrument that I could use with Push instead of just pre-made loops (unless I'm missing something.) Nonetheless, they do sound nice. I created this track as a first test (along with the Pan Drum pack which is playable.) - https://soundcloud.com/genshi/blind-to- ... s-his-soulBuleriachk wrote:I just took a chance and sprung for the new Zenpad-Oriental pack.
